Hinge Wins 2006 Best of Reston Award

Hinge, a branding firm in Reston, was honored by Reston Interfaith and the Greater  Reston Chamber of Commerce with the Best of Reston Award.  This coveted award honors businesses, individuals, and organizations that have gone above and beyond in their service to improving the quality of life for those in the Reston Community.

“It is only through the amazing support of our community partners that Reston Interfaith is able to reach out to hundreds of men, women and children daily with a comprehensive continuum of programs and services,” Kerrie Wilson, CEO of Reston Interfaith commented.  “Each and every day we see the spirit of our community at work through our volunteers and partners as they support our mission.  The Best of Reston gives us the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce to join in the recognition of exemplary service to Reston.”

Hinge, a graphic design and branding company whose mission is to create an identity for its clients, has a relatively small staff of eight.  Their efforts in the local community, however have a large impact since they dedicate 5% of their resources annually to donations, pro-bono, and volunteer work.  Last year alone, their support totaled more than 460 hours and $115,000 in pro bono services to many of the area’s vital organizations including Reston Interfaith, Friends of Reston and the Nature House, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Fairfax County Park Foundation, Brain Injury Services, and the Greater Reston Chamber and its Incubator Program.  Hinge, "Giving by Design " to benefit Reston and the region.
